What is Cloudflare Development Mode?<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Cloudflare\u2019s Development Mode temporarily suspends the edge caching, minification<\/a>,\u00a0Polish<\/a>, and\u00a0Railgun<\/a>\u00a0features. It\u00a0allows users to observe changes to their cacheable content like images, CSS, or JavaScript inmediately.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Unless disabled beforehand, Development Mode will stay active for three hours.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Why use CloudFlare\u2019s Development Mode?<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Caching allows for faster browsing by decreasing the number of queries to your website’s backend. However,during the development stage of a website or application, we recommend enabling Cloudflare\u2019s Development Mode to prevent caching from interfering with your work. This will inevitably save you time and headaches.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Once you\u2019re ready for production and want to launch your site, you can safely disable it.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

How to enable Cloudflare\u2019s Development Mode?<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

  1. Login to your Cloudflare account<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

    2. Once on the dashboard, select the domain you want to use development mode on<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

    3. Click Caching at the top bar menu<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

    4. Once there, select the Configuration tab below the top bar menu<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

    5. Scroll down until you see the Development Mode settings. Activate it by clicking the toggle button on the right<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
